Membership Restrictions

Eligible: Legal South African citizens or persons with valid passports.
Ineligible: Undocumented persons, illegal residents, or unregistered individuals.
Active participation in war, riot, or illegal activities.
Radioactive contamination (direct or indirect).

Payment Terms

💡 Due Date: On or before the 7th of each month.

No Premium – No Cover: Cover ceases if premiums are not paid.
Premiums must be paid from commencement to termination date.
All payments must be made to the CGFD nominated trust account.
Changes (additions, deletions, amendments) must be submitted before the 7th of each month.

Cash-back: Maximum R15 000
Society: Maximum R20 000
Group: Maximum R30 000

Paid-up Benefit

Neither funeral nor cash-back policies offer paid-up benefits.

Policy Termination

Death of principal member without nominating a replacement within 15 days.
Principal member cancellation → all nominated members’ cover ceases.

Claim Procedure

🚨 24-Hour Notice

Notify CGFD within 24 hours of death, even if documents are incomplete.

Required Documents

✅ Certified Electronic Death Certificate

✅ Certified copy of principal member’s ID

✅ Certified copy of deceased member’s ID

✅ BI-1663 (Death Notice)

✅ Completed mandate to pay policy holder

✅ Completed CGFD claim form

✅ Signed & up-to-date membership form

✅ Police report (unnatural death)

✅ Proof of banking details (first cash-back claim)
